This memo provides notice and explanation about a change in program fee billing applicable to students who will be enrolled in two degree programs, each with program fees, in Fall semester 2017 and beyond.
In the past, students simultaneously enrolled in two programs with program fees paid only part of the fees for each program. This approach has not covered the full costs of the delivered programs. It is important that our colleges have the funds available to provide an outstanding level of educational experience, and that fees are assessed equitably across all students in a program.
Therefore, effective Fall semester 2017, all students in two degree programs with program fees will be billed the full costs of all program fees. Financial aid for program fees will continue to be available for students with financial need.
Also effective Fall 2017, students in officially approved dual-degree programs will receive one charge for the combined program, rather than two partial charges.
