UAPD Campus Advisory Board

The University community is coming together to reaffirm and reimagine the next iteration of the University Safety & Security Campus Advisory Board. The information provide below is for reference purposes. Look for updates and opportunities to engage throughout 2023.

Formed in 2019, the University of Arizona Police Department (UAPD) Campus Advisory Board (CAB) serves as a bridge between UAPD and the campus community, in support of UAPD’s mission of advancing campus safety.

UAPD values collaborative relationships with the campus community and seeks to be responsive to community concerns. The CAB is an avenue to help UAPD understand the experiences, needs, and perspectives of campus community members. The CAB also contributes ideas to support campus safety and provides input on proposed and existing UAPD programs, initiatives, and practices.

The Board is overseen by the Senior Vice President for Business Affairs & Chief Financial Officer.

Membership

CAB membership is open to the entire University of Arizona community.

To ensure the Board continues to live the University values of Inclusion and Exploration, membership includes representation from students, both undergrad and graduate, with input from ASUA and GPSC leadership; faculty members, with input from Faculty Senate leadership; and University Staff - along with a representative from greater Southern Arizona.

Members typically serve for one year, at the discretion of the Senior Vice President for Business Affairs & CFO, and a Board Chair is selected from within the membership. Calls for membership occur late spring - shared with both the campus and community, and through this website. Interested applicants are asked to share how and why they feel their perspectives, experiences, and insights would contribute to the Campus Advisory Board.
